Comments from abroad.

Barry in Australia got in touch to order issues 2 and 3.  The postal service being what it is, issue 3 arrived first and he couldn't resist opening it!

"Too late.
I could not resist and was very surprised.  I think the Mag is great.  I loved the article on the first bike by Keith Brady so much so that I am tempted to write about my first Tiger Cub and the ill treatment and mishaps I had with it.  Of course it will be up to you whether you want to use it.

I went to my bike club tonight and it seems that no one else has a Cub.  I will now read and fully digest all of the mag again.

Thank you for such a great mag and look forward to No2.

If you have a No 1 available I would love to buy that as well.
Regards Barry"

This was followed by another mail...

"...I managed to get a sub frame from Greystones. I bought some other bits as well so with my 10% discount I have nearly recovered my mag subscription.  Barry."

How to contact The Cub Mag...

If you have any general queries about The Cub Mag, or would like to get in touch about subscribing to the worlds best magazine dedicated to Triumph Tiger Cubs and Terriers, you can drop Gorgeous Biker Chick a line at gbc AT thecubmag.com.

If you have some great pictures of Cubs & Terriers to share with your like minded Cub & Terrier fans, there is now a dedicated email address for files greater than 5MB.  Please send them to bigcubmag AT hotmail.co.uk.  This account is not checked daily, so it would be a good idea to also drop GBC a quick note to the GBC address given above, just to alert her to the fact there is mail in the bigcubmag inbox.

Issue 3; Done & Dusted.

Well, that's the third issue of The Cub Mag out, work will soon be starting on Issue 4, which will be with you in January.  Due to Christmas post and snow (no negative thoughts here) the Cub Mag postal department estimates a mid-January delivery date.  Keep an eye on this page for contents info - and most importantly, for anyone who started from the April 2012 issue, this January mag will be the last one that you receive, unless you renew your subs!  Again, more info on renewals to follow.

Issue 3 is on the way...

Just to let you all know, if you didn't collect your copy of Issue 3 from Stafford then it'll be posted out to you this week.  Thank you all for being so patient.

See you at Stafford...

The Cub Mag team will be spending a little time at Stafford show, with the Greystone Enterprise crew, so if you want to come and say hello, or treat yourself to a warm winter tee shirt, or perhaps a lovely Cub Mag Mug - or you want to have a look at the mag then please drop by.  We have also managed to persuade Cub guru, Mike Estall to spend some time with us on SATURDAY to answer questions and help you with your Cub queries, and on SUNDAY, trials ace and top engineer, Alan Whitton, will be taking the hot seat and you can ask him anything you like about Cub trials riding or having your road and off road engines tweaked or fixed.  Both parties declared the need for chocolate biscuits so if you want answers you know what to bring!

Keep an eye on this page for times or pop by the stand first thing on Saturday to find out what's happening and when!  See y'all there.....

How (and why) to change main bearings.

The Techy Tip in Issue 3 will be an article on the importance of changing main bearings, and an easy guide on how to do it.  It's a simple job (according to Pat Press) and should never be put off.....

If you want to subscribe, or purchase a copy of Issue 3, drop Gorgeous Biker Chick a line to gbc AT thecubmag.com (remember to change the AT to @ and remove the spaces).

Test machines wanted!

If anyone out there would like to have their Tiger Cub or Terrier tested by Gorgeous Biker Chick, for a future article in The Cub Mag, then please get in touch.  Specifically, at the moment, if you're based in Derbyshire (or 'near by') or the north of England then I might just have some time to kill around the end of October....(it'll probably have to be a week day or early evening before it gets too dark for photos).

It can be a road or off road based machine, and you can be assured that I won't be attempting to climb sheer rock faces or leap over cars or set a new Cub drag strip record.  It's just a chance for me to compare other peoples Cubs to my own fair example and tell the world why they should buy one.  Or two.  Or three or maybe four or five...ok...I'll go now.

Get in touch with gbc AT thecubmag.com for more info.
